12/6/2017 0 Comments We Are Almost There!2017 seems to be looking like it could be the Year of the Lutino in our shed as we finally hit the last phase of the journey to show quality lutino Netherland Dwarfs!
We have been actively showing Vladamir in the unstandardised classes and have had excellent feedback from Judges who feel we are almost there. Vladamir is the best quality visual we have produced so far - he is within the accepted weight and even though only just 6 mths old so he needs to still fully mature he his showing good bone and coat. He needs to improve in some areas like every other rabbit but the goal is in sight for us :) We have also been showing a sweet little black otter baby doe carrying lutino - she is a lovely little girl but her only let down is that she is 'hot bellied' as we have found the lutino gene adds rufousing in the carriers which slows clearly on those with pale bellies or tanning. She did win 3rd Best U5 in the Challenges this week though so she can't be so bad LOL We have had a sort out of remaining adult stock and you can find some for sale on on our available page - we unfortunately cannot keep them all and now have several very nice youngsters coming on who exceed the parents for quality so we have to move forward Below are some shots of a few of the lutino and carrier babies we have produced so far this year...

Our Lutino and carriers have arrived from the Netherlands and we are delighted with them - they will give us a huge boost for bloodlines.. some work to get them looking like English type but its a start.. Masabl a Black tan lutino carrier and our new import Flippo - a Lutino Champagne (choc) boy Females are also looking good as we go into 2017 with Marigold (lutino Shadow) .. Masala (Black Tan) .. Betty (Black Otter) .. Milka (Choc self) .. Toffee (Choc self) .. Mona (choc self) .. Zeeta (choc self) and Violetta (Lilac self) We are also VERY EXCITED as we have 2 x litters at the moment - 1 is a litter of 6 - all satin lutino - we don't expect wonders type wise but will give us a wider pool to work with... and Brumby x Betty have produced us 2 x blacks and 1 x satin lutino champagne baby :) We will in 2017 blend both the import and UK lines together as well as continue to mate for carriers to improve the type Some of the latest pics... 26/7/2016 0 Comments AVAILABLE..We have a run due to go to Rotterdam port from the Uk in September... and we have the following babies available for lutino breeders... details of each rabbit on the photos.. these are only available to any non-UK breeder though we would consider a UK show breeder if someone wants to work seriously on the project ... and you would need to be able collect them from Rotterdam port .. date to be confirmed.

PS... to add that the visual lutinos are unrelated to the carriers - and the lines are now diverse enough that they would be a valuable bloodline resource to Europe xx Each photo has the details .. 17/7/2016 0 Comments Lots Going On...Well all is good in the Lutino camp!
We have 2 x lovely carrier litters and a promising litter of F3 Lutinos (Shadow - Dove).. one of the carrier litters is out of Satin too! We are moving house at the end of August so we have held back on mating any more does up till we are in our new home so it will go quiet for a month or two :) Over all its been a successful year - to say we started with huge 4-5lb girls and a Nethie shadow buck we are very impressed with our current quality of 2016 youngsters. More pics in the next week or so as I hope to get in the shed and take photos of every rabbit as a record of ancestry and improvement. 21/6/2016 0 Comments We Are On Our Way.... Well what a difference 3 months can make!
We have had a bumper crop of gorgeous F3 lutino carrier babies and have a litter of 5 F3 lutinos currently in the nest.. We have been very selective in what we have held back for the next generation.. most selected purely on type - a couple for their color or coat.... and we have been very fortunate to be able to book some Lutinos which will be coming all the way from the Netherlands in September ... these we hope will input fresh blood and vigor and improve on type .. we are very excited for them to arrive! So here are the next generation of 'lil stars' for the Lutino Program LUDIMAR BLACK BRUMBY .. Black otter F3 buck carrying choc/satin/lutino Mum: Satina (Satin Lutino) ... Dad: Spider (Broken Choc Otter) Big jump forward in type with huge amount of boning - nice head developing - just need to sort the ears :) LUDIMAR BLACK BETTY .. Black otter F3 doe carrying choc/satin/lutino Mum: Satina (F2 Satin Lutino) ... Dad: Spider (Broken Choc Otter) Brumby's sister and she is even smaller and shorter in body but lacks on the head at the moment but still youngsters LUDIMAR KIWI .. Black Self F3 doe carrying Lutino Mum: Marigold (F2 Lutino Yellow) ... Dad: Hilton (Black Otter) Nice looking doe of small size ... 1st image 3rd row below LUDIMAR KITTIWAKE ... Black Self F2 doe carrying choc/Lutino Mum: Ludimar Pippet (F1.5 Lutino Dove) ... Dad: Bovril (Choc Self) Not the type of the F3's but getting there LUDIMAR MASABI .. Black otter F3 buck carrying chc/tan/lutino Mum: Varjo (F2 Lutino Dove) ... Dad: Reddy Teddy (Choc Tan) Lovely little boy with a superb coat and decent type developing but still a baby LUDIMAR MASALI ... Black otter F3 doe carrying choc/tan/Lutino/satin Mum: Satina (F2 Satin Lutino) ... Dad: Reddy Teddy (Choc Tan) LUDIMAR SATSUMA ... F1.5 Satin Lutino Yellow buck carrying Dove Mum: Helia (F1 Lutino Yellow) .. Dad: Tino (F1 Lutino Dove) What can I say about this amazing little chap - he is small.. weighing only 2.5lb at 5 mths of age - his coat sparkles and he has the most fantastic temperament you could wish for! Not the type we should be keeping but am sure he will produce some intersting youngsters LUDIMAR FLUFFTAIL ... F1.5 Satin Lutino Dove Mum: Helia (F1 Lutino Yellow) .. Dad: Tino (F1 Lutino Dove) This is brother to Satsuma - slightly larger in size but has the palest cream adult coat we have bred so far and of course the satin makes his gleam... pic 1st image 2nd row Just a couple of images of this years babies... more to follow as I take them 28/3/2016 0 Comments EASTER MONDAY..Here we are end of March already and so far in last 24 hrs we have had snow - torrential rain and winds .. the world has gone mad LOL!
Poor old rabbits don't know which day it is with the huge peaks and dips in weather bless them :( So some updates... The litter of 9 lutinos finally weaned and 3 x bucks are up for sale on the available page if you want to have a look or are interested in starting your own program - these are F1s though so would mature too large for a Nethie program and would be better suited to a Rex or Lop project... We have kept a Satin Dove buck and a Dove doe with a little rufousing for future plans Hespa's 2 daughters are now 4 mths old and thriving girls - friendly - cheeky and always in trouble and they also look as if they are going to be a little smaller than Mum so thats good news :) We have 3 x F3 Lutino does all due next weekend... crossing fingers for plenty of carriers to move us on to the next generation and improve type further... Our Satin Lutino doe has just been weaned off her 5 x carrier kits - and we are very pleased that she has finally got it together bless her... And we have I think finally retired our foundation boy Pfennig from the Program as he is the Daddy to most of the girls now.. he has given so much to the Project and will stay out the rest of his years in a large run in retirement bless him... he might do the odd show still to promote the color but he has done his bit for the Lutino Netherland Dwarf So the next post will be to announce success with the F3 girls or disaster! 23/2/2016 0 Comments BABIES BABIES EVERYWHERE!Well February has had ups and downs in the Lutino hutches! The 9 babies that arrived end of Jan are doing brilliant and Mum amazingly has managed to get all 9 to 4 wks old !! We had a huge grin on our faces when we discovered 2 x Satins in the litter and are overall very very happy as these F1's will put us up and running for the next gen - surprisingly several are starting to show distinct Netherland type and ears so we will watch how they develop with interest :) We also were dancing with joy when our F2 Satin Lutino doe finally gave birth to a live litter of 5 babies after 3 x dead litters !! In desperation we used our Broken Choc buck as she was not jelling with our other bucks and it was love at first sight - she rolled after mating and I swear she smiled LOL! She kissed him and licked him so obviously she is a doe that needs to 'feel the love' to become a proper Mummy hahaha! We have 1 x Broken - 3 x Black Otters and 1 x Black Self - obviously all carrying choc - satin and lutino - they are only 2 wks old at the moment but all thriving and some showing some promising type... The other F2/F3 does sadly have also had stillborn litters .. it was their first time and we are hoping that was the cause...
So we will try again but at least we now have a very good selection of F1 and F2 to move forward with :) 31/1/2016 0 Comments HOW MANY???So - we are on a roll and Lutino girls have been mated and babies are arriving... First to arrive are Hespa's sweet little trio of fun - pictured below.. Hespa had 6 babies but only reared 3 and what sweeties they are too! We have 1 x buck who will probably be available soon and 2 x does who will be staying.. Then Helia dropped her babies yesterday... and OMG - a record for our Nethies as she had NINE ... yes 9 babies !!! All Lutinos... All alive and thriving at the moment but one hell of a litter for any Mum so we are not expecting all to survive... we will just be grateful for those that do.. And Mummy even opened the nest up for us so we could have a peek without disturbing... And as if that wasn't enough Lutinos we have the 2 sisters due on the 2nd and 12th Feb... one has gone to a choc self buck and the other has gone to our old man Hilton (black otter) as we want to focus mainly on the Lutino Dove color... so we will keep you informed!
